Open Source Information

JMARS (Java Mission-planning and Analysis for Remote Sensing) is a Java-based geospatial information system developed by the Mars Space Flight Facility at Arizona State University. This software is used for mission planning and scientific data analysis by several NASA missions, including Mars Odyssey, Mars Global Surveyor, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, and the OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission. The Mars Space Flight Facility is pleased to announce that JMARS has been released as an Open Source project, under the GPL license.
