THEMIS Mosaic Layer
From JMARS Wiki
The THEMIS Mosaic Layer, which is available in the Public, THEMIS and MRO releases of JMARS, allows users to load high-quality VIS, Day IR and Night IR mosaics into JMARS for use with the other layers. These mosaics were created in support of the various research projects at ASU's Mars Space Flight Facility and are being made available to all JMARS users. New mosaics will be added to the layer as they become available.

[edit] Open the THEMIS Mosaics Layer
- Open the Layer: In the Layer Manager, chose "Add New Layer" -> "THEMIS Mosaics"
- Boxes will appear wherever mosaics are available.
- Load a Mosaic (from the Viewing Window): In the Viewing Window, right-click on an area covered by an existing mosaic and chose "Load Mosaic_Name"
- If multiple mosaics cover the selected point, they will all be available as options in the right-click menu.
- After a mosaic is loaded, it will appear as a separate layer in the Layer Manager.

- Load a Mosaic (from the Focus Panel): Click on the "THEMIS Mosaics" tab in the Layer Manager to access the focus panel. There is a list of all available mosaics, which can be sorted by either mosaic name or description. Right-clicking on a mosaic name gives the user the option of either centering the Viewing Window on the mosaic or loading the mosaic.

- Remove a Mosaic: To remove a specific mosaic, highlight the mosaic in the Layer Manager and chose "Delete Layer".
- This will not close the THEMIS Mosaic Layer, but the separate layer with the specified mosaic.
