The JMARS Team has developed a version of JMARS specifically for use by students and space enthusiasts. The Public Version contains all of the standard JMARS layers, such as the Map Layer, Stamp Layer, etc and pulls data from the servers at Arizona State University's Mars Space Flight Facility, which also supply data to the THEMIS, MRO and LRO versions of JMARS. Users must register for a free JMARS user account since the program requires access to the ASU servers.
