Map Layer
From JMARS Wiki
The Map Layer allows users to load and display global maps of Mars and other planetary bodies. All versions of JMARS include the Map Layer, which offers users Graphical/Numerical Maps and Advanced Maps.

[edit] Graphic/Numeric Maps
- The Graphic/Numeric Maps are primarily meant to serve as the basis of the Viewing Window with other layers (such as the ROI Layer, Groundtrack Layer, etc) stacked on top of them. For more information on using Graphic/Numeirc Maps, click on the "Graphic/Numeirc Maps" title above.
[edit] Advanced Maps
- Advanced Maps are developed by users to display datasets not included in JMARS. These maps can contain both graphical and numerical components and can cover a variety of areas, from small craters to the entire planet. The information of Advanced Maps are contained in files, which must be loaded into JMARS using the Map Layer.
